Many-electron dynamics in high-order harmonic generation of niobium: A time-dependent density-functional-theory study

چکیده
The strong-field many-electron dynamics is studied via the resonance-enhanced high-order harmonic generation (HHG) of niobium. In intense IR lights excited states Nb with configuration $4{d}^{3}5s\phantom{\rule{0.16em}{0ex}}np$ play a vital role in enhanced HHG below ionization potential, even though electron initially occupying $5s$ orbital most active. energies these increase linearly laser intensity, which causes effective potential to as well. Above effects may cause an electronic state be resonance that ${\mathrm{Nb}}^{+}$, leads and influences tunneling

Time-Dependent Density-Functional-Theory Calculation of High-Order-Harmonic Generation of H-2
The observation of the isotope effect in the high-order-harmonic generation (HHG) of H2 presents a challenge for time-dependent density-functional-theory (TDDFT) methods, since this effect is related to the dynamics of the ion created in the tunneling ionization step of HHG and it depends on the harmonic order. As an initial step toward describing this effect within current computational capaci...
متن کاملAll-electron density functional theory and time-dependent density functional theory with high-order finite elements.
We present for static density functional theory and time-dependent density functional theory calculations an all-electron method which employs high-order hierarchical finite-element bases. Our mesh generation scheme, in which structured atomic meshes are merged to an unstructured molecular mesh, allows a highly nonuniform discretization of the space. Thus it is possible to represent the core an...
متن کاملTime-dependent density-functional theory for strong-field multiphoton processes: Application to the study of the role of dynamical electron correlation in multiple high-order harmonic generation
We present a self-interaction-free time-dependent density-functional theory ~TDDFT! for nonperturbative treatment of multiphoton processes of many-electron atomic systems in intense laser fields. The theory is based on the extension of the time-dependent Kohn-Sham formalism. The time-dependent exchange-correlation potential with proper shortand long-range behavior is constructed by means of the...
متن کاملRole of Resonance-Enhanced Multiphoton Excitation in High-Harmonic Generation of N-2: A Time-Dependent Density-Functional-Theory Study
A minimum at ∼39 eV is observed in the high-harmonic-generation spectra of N2 for several laser intensities and frequencies. This minimum appears to be invariant for different molecular orientations. We reproduce this minimum for a set of laser parameters and orientations in time-dependent density-functional-theory calculations, which also render orientation-dependent maxima at 23–26 eV. Photon...
متن کاملQuantum electrodynamical time-dependent density-functional theory for many-electron systems on a lattice
We present a rigorous formulation of the time-dependent density-functional theory for interacting lattice electrons strongly coupled to cavity photons. We start with an example of one particle on a Hubbard dimer coupled to a single photonic mode, which is equivalent to the single mode spin-boson model or the quantum Rabi model. For this system we prove that the electron-photon wave function is ...
